Ingredient identity
An ingredient can come in different forms. We start with its identity, the form we’re considering, and the purpose it has in the formula.
Our approach
From an ingredient’s identity to the finished label, here’s the work that shapes an Open Origin formula.

Our development framework
An ingredient can come in different forms. We start with its identity, the form we’re considering, and the purpose it has in the formula.
Origin includes more than a name. We look for supplier documentation that helps establish ingredient identity, specifications, and traceability.
We look at the research in context: what was studied, in whom, at what amount, and with what limitations. Those details shape how we talk about an ingredient.
A product has practical requirements beyond its ingredient list. Our development plan includes capsule feasibility, packaging requirements, and a finished-product testing plan.
Evidence, with context

Who. How much. How long. What was measured.
Research on an individual ingredient does not automatically establish the same results for a finished supplement. Study design, dose, duration, and the people involved all matter.
We’ll distinguish ingredient research from evidence on our own formula. Our first formula is currently in development; its final amounts and specifications have not been confirmed.
See the ingredients in developmentWhat we’re working toward
These are the principles guiding development of our first formula.
Ingredient forms, final amounts, and capsule details will be published together when the formula is confirmed.
Research on an ingredient and research on a finished formula are different. We’ll make that distinction clear.
Ingredient specifications, manufacturing requirements, and a stability plan are part of development.
As the formula progresses, we’ll share confirmed product details. Final specifications and launch timing are still being determined.
